I'm Stephanie and welcome to this blog. I've been blogging a long time across various platforms and blog names. Sometimes you outgrow a blog name, which is what happened with The Hermes Homestead. It's still a corner of the internet that is near and dear to my heart as it covers a decade of my life, but life radically changed over the last few years and it didn't fit anymore.

Soft Alchemy is a blog about the quiet transformation I am continually experiencing. Life is a continuous process of evolution, and while some change can be loud and abrupt, other change can be soft and slow. In 2023, I moved from Seattle to Berlin then to a town 50 miles north of London, where I currently reside with my husband and my pomeranian, Vogue, and our newest arrival, our daughter Chloe. Through the experience of moving abroad and becoming a mother, I have learned so much about myself, my career, and what it means to start over.

This is a space to share all the various aspects of my life in England, the rediscovery of my personal style, and hopefully serve as inspiration to others to take a leap into the unknown. This is something born of soft alchemy — shaped by quiet transformation. I'm so grateful that you're here and hope that you leave a little inspired.
